About Jones Forestry & Timber

Founded in 1998 with roots in wildlife and habitat management, we handle everything from hedge coppicing to large timber felling. We work with farms, estates, woodland owners and trusts to manage local woods and produce usable timber, from cordwood and firewood to boards, beams and fencing.

See What We Do

From Woodland to Timber — Our Work in Practice

We work across a range of woodland and timber services, from active forestry work and timber milling to supplying seasoned firewood and producing biomass chip. All of it starts with careful woodland management.

Our focus is on making full use of the timber we harvest. Whether that’s cutting beams, splitting logs, or chipping brash, we aim to keep materials local and useful. The result is less waste, fewer road miles and better value for our clients and the woodland.

Firewood Locally sourced hardwood logs, air-dried and ready to burn in stoves or open fires.

Milling We mill local timber into beams, boards, posts and sleepers for building, fencing and landscaping.

Forestry Practical woodland management, from coppicing to felling, with a focus on sustainability and timber use.

Working With Woodland, Not Against It

We don’t just fell the timber, we manage woodland to minimise our impact environmentally and to keep it growing and working for the long term. That means choosing the right trees, improving habitats and using as much of the material as possible in and around the local area.

Firewood, fencing, boards, chip, every bit of the tree has a purpose. By reducing waste and haulage, and by working with nature instead of around it, we’re keeping our footprint low and the woodland productive.
